How these downloads work
- Recommended marks the version to install on a working device. Older versions are archived for recovery, for units that cannot take a newer release, and for the record.
- Verified files came from the manufacturer, directly or through an Internet Archive copy of the manufacturer's own download link. Community files survive only as user uploads; their provenance is stated on the release page.
- Every file is malware-scanned before publication. To check a download, compare its SHA-256 with the value shown:
sha256sum file.zip(Linux/macOS) orcertutil -hashfile file.zip SHA256(Windows). - Some current releases are delivered only by the manufacturer's own updater (for example, Uniden Sentinel) and were never published as a file; those entries say how to get them. Paid software is never hosted — those entries link to the vendor. Upgrade keys, license keys and modified ("unlocked") firmware are never offered.
- The manufacturer's own page is linked beside every release. Where it still exists, it is the first place to check for something newer.
