The original .inf files for the HomePatrol-1 Extreme Serial mode, one for Windows XP and one for Windows Vista/7. Uniden lists them as the serial drivers for Windows versions earlier than Windows 8.
Read before installing. For Windows 8 and later use the uniden_usbser driver. Serial mode on the HomePatrol-1 requires the paid Extreme upgrade.

WHAT THIS IS
------------
Uniden HomePatrol-1 serial drivers (Windows XP, Vista, 7). The original .inf
files for the HomePatrol-1 Extreme Serial mode, one for Windows XP and one for
Windows Vista/7. Uniden lists them as the serial drivers for Windows versions
earlier than Windows 8. Both .inf files are dated 30 July 2011. The same two
files ship in the Driver folder of HomePatrol Sentinel 2.00.02.
APPLIES TO

The Uniden HomePatrol-1 with the Extreme upgrade, in Serial mode, on Windows
XP, Vista or 7. (One file is named HomePartol1-WinVista7Com.inf, with Uniden's
own misspelling.)
BEFORE STARTING

- The Extreme upgrade registered on the HomePatrol-1 (Serial mode is an
Extreme feature).
- Windows 8 or later: use the uniden_usbser driver instead.

INSTALLATION
------------
1. Unzip the file. 2. Connect the HomePatrol-1 and choose Serial when it asks
for the USB mode. 3. When Windows asks for a driver (or through Device
Manager, Update Driver), browse to the unzipped folder and select the .inf for
the Windows version in use. The Extreme Owner's Manual has Uniden's detailed
steps; the exact wording could not be re-checked here.

Device Manager shows a new COM port for the HomePatrol-1.
IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG

- No Serial choice on connection: the Extreme upgrade is not registered.
- Driver refused on Windows 8 or later: use uniden_usbser.
